This is a story about girl named Linda. Soon it would be Linda’s mother’s birthday. Everyone had a present for Linda’s mother except Linda. She thought all week about what kind of gifts she could give for her mother.

Linda thought and said, “My mother likes flowers very much, especially roses. I can buy bunch of roses to her!” So Linda brought one hundred dollars and went to the flower shop. However, on the way, a thief stole Linda’s purse and Linda didn’t know this. She went to the flower shop and when she was ready to buy the roses, she discovered that her purse was stolen by thief. She was sad and she went home.

For the second time, Linda brought one hundred dollars and put it into her pocket again. This time she was very careful that no one walked near her. When she arrived the flower shop, she put her hand into her pocket but the money disappeared! Why? It was because her pocket had a big hole. Linda was disappointed and went back to her home again.

For the third time, Linda changed her trousers and she left home. She thought she had kept the money well this time. When she was ready to pay the money, Linda screamed, “Oh no! I forget to put the money into the pocket!” Linda was very angry and she thought she was foolish! She went home for the third time again.

She went home and said, “I was very careless! I decided to make a bunch of roses to my mother!” First, Linda chose different colours of paper. Then, she cut and folded the paper into blossoms. Next, she stuck some paper leaves on the green wires. After that, she matched them together. Finally she waited for one minute and a bunch of roses was finished.

The next day, Linda gave her flowers to her mother. When her mother saw it, she said, “Thanks your gift, Linda! It was a special gift for me and it would be the best gift in the world!” Linda smiled and she felt happy.
