Every child must have heard of Aesop’s fables in their childhood. For example, The Boy and the Wolf, the Tortoise and the Hare, the Grasshopper and the Ant, etc. Every story brings out a moral and it’s meaningful. The most impressive story is “the Wind and the Sun”. I first read this story when I was in kindergarten.

The story is about the sun and the wind. They had an argument about who was the strongest. They decided to have a competition to see who can make the traveller take off his coat. The wind started first and thought that he was the strongest. However, he couldn’t succeed and the traveller kept his coat on more tightly even though the wind used all his methods. Meanwhile, the sun only hid behind the cloud. When she shined with light, the traveller took off the coat quickly because of the heat. At last, the sun won. She was very gentle and didn’t’ tease the wind.

This story brings out one moral, “being gentle often works better than being harsh”. Different people have different characters and talents. Everyone keeps on learning throughout his or her life. How can we convince others? By force or threat? Of course not by threat. We must be patient and knowledgeable when facing challenges.
