Today was Sunday. The weather was hot. My mother, father, brother and I went to Lantau Island by ferry.

On the way to the beach, we saw the butterflies and birds dancing. The trees and flowers were welcoming my mother, father, brother and me. We heard the insects cry.

There were many people on the beach. They were building sand-castles. My brother and I were playing beach-ball. My mother was sunbathing and my father was snorkelling.

Mum had brought a big picnic hamper. In the shade of a tree, we ate chicken wings, and sandwiches. We had lots of fun on the beach today.

I felt very happy.
