One day, I went on a picnic in the countryside. As I had eaten too much, I took a walk into the bush. Suddenly, I saw something white and shining in the bush. I was curious to know what it was, so I carefully looked at the "white thing". Oops! I had seen it in my science book about crocodiles. Wow! It was a crocodile egg! I was so excited that I took it home.
I examined the egg in my room and touched it gently, I turned on the lamp and used a magnifying glass to look at the egg carefully. Suddenly, I heard some strange noises from within the egg. Then, I touched the egg and it was very hot. Suddenly, the egg cracked open. I saw a beautiful small, crocodile climbing slowly out of the egg shell. Its bright eyes were very cute. The baby crocodile's body was very wet and shiny. It was extremely beautiful!
The crocodile grew up very fast. But I couldn't provide a room for this crocodile because crocodiles are protected animals. Also, I didn't know how to take care of the crocodile. I also worried that the crocodile might attack my family or others. So I called the Animal Lovers' Club, and told them I was keeping a crocodile and asked them to take it away. They said they would take the crocodile away the next day and I was so sad to lose my baby. I hoped the crocodile could have a comfortable home and the crocodile professionals in the Animal Lovers' Club would take care of it properly. I would miss it!. Goodbye Crocodile!
Several months after, I learned from a newspaper article that the Animal Lovers' Club had donated a female crocodile to the Hong Kong Zoo. The Zoo named it Bo Bo and gave Bo Bo a nice, big place to live inside the Zoo. The zookeepers liked Bo Bo very much and were taking very good care of her. It was also reported that a new male crocodile named Wei Wei had joined Bo Bo at the Hong Kong Zoo. I am happy to know that Bo Bo now has a partner and a lovely home.
