The flag of the United States of America (USA) has thirteen equal horizontal stripes of seven red alternating with six white. There is a blue rectangle in the upper left corner bearing fifty small, white, five-pointed stars arranged in nine horizontal rows of six stars alternating with rows of five stars.
The stripes represent the original thirteen colonies and the stars represent the current fifty states.
The colour of the flag - red means valor, white means purity, and blue stands for vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
